At SplitDeck (including our website and Chrome Extension), your privacy is our highest priority. We operate on a strict Zero Data Collection policy. We do not collect, store, transmit, or monetize any personal information, search queries, browsing history, IP addresses, or device identifiers.

2. Local Browser Storage

All custom search engines, user settings, search history logs, and selected preferences created within SplitDeck are stored 100% locally in your web browser via localStorage or Chrome Extension Local Storage. This data never leaves your computer and is never transmitted to remote servers.

3. Chrome Extension Permissions Declaration

Our Manifest V3 Chrome Extension requests minimum necessary permissions to function:

• tabs: Used solely to open selected search engines and custom URLs in browser tabs or native split-screen windows.
• storage: Used strictly to persist your custom added search engines locally inside your Chrome browser.
• <all_urls>: Used to inject search queries into target platform query templates when requested by you.

4. Third-Party Websites & AI Models

SplitDeck functions as a launcher and tiler that opens search target pages (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google, Unsplash) in your browser. Once a third-party site is opened, your interactions on that platform are governed by that specific platform's privacy policy.
